i don't like 3d damage

anyone else dislike the 3d damage in sh4?

so far as i can tell, i am alone in this, but think that the 3d damage model is emphatically less realistic looking than the 2d damage mods from sh3

so does anyone know whether or not th 2d damage mod from sh3 works in sh4 if 3d damage is deactivated?

I don't tolerate any kind of damage on my boat, it's bad for crew morale !
