Whats the solution to a crew that...
won't man their watch stations when surfacing. I did a search but the number of threads...
Anyway, should I be standing in a certain location in the boat when I order surface? Or ? I noticed that the only thing that brings them topside when they decide to stay below is to save and exit the game. Then when I restart they're where they should be. Anyone have this problem? |
Reading past threads , i am sure its because you dont have enough of something . Ram or what , i dunno .

Sorry to revamp an old thread. I spent an hour searching the forum about the exactly above problem and didnīt find any clue or fix.
I have a new installation with more or less the sobers mods list. All then last version. But sometimes when I surface, the crew donīt moves to the deck. Even in calm wheater - clear, nofog, 5m/s. Using last TDW UI. The unique solution until now is to save/reload the game. This is really odd and annoy my game play. Any idea?:hmmm: |
I got that problem too, but only sometimes. Afaik you need to restart the game, no other solution yet.

I've had it happen to me once too. As has been mentioned, saving and then reloading fixes it. What causes it, however, I don't know.

Itīs one of the stock-game bugs. CO2 not refresh too, and you cannot load external torpedos. Only helps save and reload. Especially annoying, in conjunction when you have damaged some ships. Theyīre fresh after reload. :damn:

more than likely you have installed something that lowered (increased draught) of the sub. This will cause havoc and will cause the problem described. Remove the mod(s) that increase sub draught and see if the problem doesn't go away.

I could be wrong but I thought dynamic environment changed the sub's .sim files to give it a more rolling motion. It changed many parameters for the sub like draught, drag, etc. I could be totally wrong but this is what I seem to remember :hmmm:

I have had that happen a few times. I teleport back to the attack scope and then again to the bridge. most of the time they return with me.

It's also worth noting that alt-tabbing in/out of game also causes problems for the watch crew - not going below when diving and not appearing when surfaced.
If you do alt-tab during SH5, don't - and you might see an improvement. :up: |
