Targeting Question
Somewhere in these forums I'm sure I saw a tutorial video on using the 3 little circles with numbers to get a solution on the target. I can't seem to find it and I don't know who made it. Does anyone know where I could get more info on it? Thanx! :)

You can also lock target... than... target number 3 try to be between your number 3 and number 2... shoot torpedo.. but this is not so acurate like when you perfect mach numbers... target number 2 between your number 2 and 1 - fire ... target number 1 between your number 1 and your uboat - fire... |

I've watched the assorted videos on targetting, manual and auto, but there are somethings that my thick head won't absorb. In SH4 the auto targeting was pretty simple, but here, not so much. I'm just looking for a simple way to acquire a target and draw from the hip and fire. Later when I feel more at ease with the sim, I'll turn the realism knob up more as I go :DL
Thanx for your replies! |

It's clearly seen in the mini-map, when you have the target centered in periscope/UZO, torpedo trajectory on the mini-map automatically go to an intercept course. |
Hey I just started playing too, in the tutorial mission with auto aim, you just lock the target and fire the torpedo and it hits, but I'm on the first mission now and when i lock a target and fire a torpedo it misses all of the time. Am I doing something wrong, are there more steps involved with the auto targeting?

Ok - try this:-
Switch off TDC with the XO Lock onto target (space bar) Unlock target Aim scope at ship and fire It is a while since I saw this but I think that worked. Give it a try:up: |

Yes but we all start somewhere:up: Getting the feel of the game is a lot easier using this. Then upgrade to my "TDC Helper":D |
