Manual sonar.
 

Hi.
I've recently switched on "No contact updates" in realistic settings. I have a couple of questions, since I've never played like this before.

1. How do I plot the merchant's course using sonar only? :ping: U-Boats can't ping for distance :(
2. Is it just a feeling or is my radar less efficient than when there were contact updates switched on? It appears to me that ships are usually spotted by the watch now, rather than caught with a radar?
