Silent Hunter 5 Gold Edition?
 

Can anyone confirm exactly what makes the Silent Hunter 5 Gold Edition" any different to stock Silent Hunter 5?

I bought what I thought was "Silent Hunter 5 Gold Edition" but the splash screen just says "Silent Hunter 5: Battle for the Atlantic".

How can I be certain I just don't have the vanilla SH5 release?

just out of curiosity, does it actually contain these u-boats and ships :hmmm:

As I said, according to the blurb they put out. I have no clue, not owning any version of SH5.

I have all those ships and extra U-boats in my version of Sh5 they show up in the museum, and i didnt buy the "gold" edition either :06:..

But i got the limited edition tin case one, came with a shipping lanes fold-out map, the original soundtrack CD, and a hardbook 'official guide' oh yeah and the manual..

.cfg, .eqp and a .sns

Same with the other 2 uboats.

The four ships are located at
SilentHunter5\data\LngGameData\Collectors\Data\Sea

NBB_King_GeorgeV_DoYork contains five files...
two .DDS's, .CFG, .eqp and a .sns

other ships are the same

Now weather you'll actually ever see them in game.... I've seen u30 once.

The gold is very similat to the collectors (you got the collectors edition).

The only difference is gold gets a dvd. And collectors get the cd.

Gold edition :har:! It´s still in the Stone Age!

You can only get something similar to Gold downloading mods here, for free! Ubi can be very funny sometimes...

I paid £1 for SH5 GE, so it was worth it

I can, as an owner of the SH5 GE, tell you it contain the same type of bug as in the Stock SH5.
