Russia says: No sex in Space! Honest!

  • Expert says Russians never, ever had sex in space
  • No evidence of "intercourse" or "sexual experiments"
  • Not sure about the US but he has heard "rumours"

RUSSIAN or Soviet cosmonauts never had sex in space in the 50 years of human exploration of the cosmos. And that's official, according to a Russian expert. As for Americans, well, you'd better ask them.

"There's no official or unofficial evidence that there were instances of sexual intercourse or the carrying out of sexual experiments in space," Valery Bogomolov, deputy director of the Moscow-based Institute of Biomedical Problems told the Interfax news agency.
"At least, in the history of Russian or Soviet space exploration this most certainly was not the case," said Bogomolov.
Rumours have persisted for years of secret Russian and American programs to test the effects of weightlessness on sex but this has always been strongly denied by both sides.
"As for American space exploration, well, I just don't have the information to categorically deny that," said Bogomolov. "There are just anecdotal rumours which are not worth trusting," he added.

Too bad. I don't see how they could resist. Maybe that's why they didn't choose me.

They're holding back, since Putin wants to be the first one

Not exactly sure what prompted this story.

........

But, I think anyone can have as much sex in space as they want......

........as long as U.S. taxpayers don't have to foot the bill. :har:

Having sex in zero gravity, surely our congress has a 200 million dollar study on it....

Well the Soviets/Russians would only have had two opportunities.

Svetlana Savitskaya aboard Soyus T-7 (1982). The two men slept in Salyut 7 and the woman slept in the T-7 for privacy. She was up for almost 20 days

The other would be Yelena Kondakova who was on Mir for 5 months in 1995 and then she was on STS-84 for 9 days in 1997

There have only been three Soviet/Russian women in space.

The United States has had 43 women in space.

So if there was any orbital orgies, odds are that it would have been an American. :yeah:

"you see, in docking one ship has this probe and the other has this drogue. And during docking the probe is slowly moved into the... well you get the idea" :D

You ARE aware of the fact that for example in prison, people have sex too? Well, I guess in space they wouldn't have to worry about dropping their soap :har:

There were two American astronauts who got married before their mission. It was too late for NASA to swap them for their alternates so they went up even though NASA has a policy against such a thing. If anyone bumped uglies in freefall its them I bet.

My question is - if you're spending MONTHS in space with a woman - how could you NOT get lonely? Lol
