Goodbye Sara Jane
http://femmesfantastique.blogspot.co...en-miller.html
Found out only today, when seeing the new season of Doctor Who. RIP  |
She was always my favorite of the Doctor Who companions, and the standard against which all others were measured. Sad news, indeed.

Aww, maannnn...
I first discovered Doctor Who sometime around 1984. Our local Public Broadcast Station only carried the 4th Doctor (Tom Baker) at the time, so of course I saw a lot of Sarah Jane Smith. She was my first, you might say. I now have the complete original Doctor Who, and love all the Doctors and all the companions, some more than most. Sarah Jane is right up there at the top. I haven't seen any of the newer shows, but looking at the pictures I'm glad they brought her back. It will be hard for me to actually miss her, since I only know her from the show, and I can watch her again any time I want, but it's still sad. |
A real shame. I'm a fairly new Dr. Who fan so I've only seen a few of her episodes (2 with Tom Baker and a couple with David Tennant), but she showed lots of talent.
@Steve: Go watch the Season 2 episode of the "new" series classed "Class Reunion". It has some great scenes with Sara Jane. I think you will like it. |
Not been a good year for Dr Who first we lost Nicholas Courtney who played the part of Brigadier Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart.

I believe she died on 19th...was one of the best Dr Who companions IMHO.
RIP Sarah. |
I did not know about Nicholas Courtney also. RIP Brigadier! :salute:
