Can I run it?

Hi I'm getting ready to buy this game, and I'm just wondering if I can run here are my computer specs;
AMD 64 x2 Dual-core
Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE
5.25 free GB
It is also not a windows 7 don't know what it is, but not a windows 7.
Any help would be appreciated thank-you.

An upgrade to your existing Ram memory is needed at least 2 GIG,if you ask me, but it can be run with less but to minimize the risk that the game "lags"

Thank-you. Would lowering the graphics lower ram reqiurements because I'm fine putting them on minium?

You are welcome!

There aren't all that many graphic settings to lower honestly, but I was able to run it fine on my old desktop with a Geforce FX 5200, and 2 gigs of RAM. This new one has a 6150 LE as well, I haven't tried running SH3 on it (yet) but I don't think it'll be much of a problem. I'd try to upgade your system RAM though, if you plan on playing any mods you'll definitely want the extra boost.

Also, are you using an HP slimline by any chance? those system specs sound very close to mine :hmmm: Like the exact same as mine.

Nrsw2w3 04-15-11 05:08 PM

Don't plan on getting any mods. I have a windows xp media center 2005.

Just found out my laptop has 3.8 Gb and 2.27 processing no idea about graphics card, and this one is windows 7. Would that work?

Gargamel 04-15-11 05:19 PM

That would be a XP MC, for your "not windows 7"

I'm not sure of the stock game, but I know GWX takes about 1.5gb of ram to load up, at least for me.

That's goign to be your problem, not the graphics. The game load the entire world, for the entire war each time you play. Your system is already probably using 200 MB of RAM Just to run. That leaves you with not a whole lot.

Wait... do you have 3.5gb RAM or 960mb?

If it's 3.5, then it should run fine, and with some mods, but with the older gfx card, I'd lay off any of the shiny sparkly ones, like FM interiors.

You may want to look into getting an external drive, a bigger internal, or just cleaning up your drive if you only have 5gb left. Since your system uses the HDD as RAM, that 5gb will disappear quickly.

But other than that, it should run ok.

Mr.Nrsw2w3 say 960mb.

Nrsw2w3 04-15-11 05:27 PM

Ya it's 960MB, and I'm up to 7.46GB of free space.

Did you remove app.for to get more memory, as it varies, which is good of course

Nrsw2w3 04-15-11 05:37 PM

Where would I find app.for?
