Steel fury editor issues
Hey everybody,
I'm whukid, and im fairly new to modding. I recently purchased Steel Fury and downloaded some mods for it (Tiger 1.0, Steel Panzer 1.5, the Prokovaka one, PzVI Tiger Epack, Armor thinckness fix, Frontline acoustics, and the SPM 1.5 english patch). I have two major questions; 1. HOW do you get to the editor?!?!?! 2.How do you save the changes to the scripts? like for example, you need to add two lines to the prokovaka mod to get it to run. everytime I try to save, i get a message saying "Access Denied" even though im the administrator on my computer. PS, if anyone could tell me where to buy a version of T34 vs Tiger, id greatly appreciate it. :) thanks -whukid |

About the Mission Editor, it looks like it doesn't appear in the download version of Steel Fury. But never fear, you can create a shortcut to get it: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_Hbtk24rNEPw/TR...0/shortcut.jpg Pay attention to these entries: Target = "<Steel Fury Game Folder>\bin\rel\shell.exe" root\programs\misedit.program Don't leave out the "quotes"! Start in = <Steel Fury Game Folder> Good luck! |

I'm working on the second part, but windows 7 isn't helping much :ping: |
Reinstalling sounds like the easiest option, at this point, :dead:
I mean, the security settings in Windows 7 seem to be a major pain in the butt: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...5-b334b236a5e3 |

Or you can do like me .When I made copies of my main game I lost the editor.I asked Iceman one the game moderators on the Graviteam forum and he explanie nd the steps, create text files for each of the 4 functions and then turning them into bat or exe files.I did and now I have MEs in all my copies.I cannot, unfortunately, find my post.
Kyth any idea where it is in the forum? Worse comes to worse I can email you copies of my bat files and all you do is paste them into your game main folder and they become instantly active. One thing I remember. In your user-made misisons menu you have 18 titles, all pertaining to the game´s 18 stock maps.I think all you have to do is click on one them as if to play it.Inside there´s a lone T 34 tank.Once you´ve played one of the maps the ME is supposed to be generated automatically in your game main folder.Ain´t sure though.... Hello Frinik, do you think you can email those to me by any chance? I got to the mission editor, but I believe i messed up somewhere along the way because its using some weird characters instead of letters. my email address is thewhukid@gmail.com Thanks for all your help guys; i just bought a new computer a few months ago after upgrading from window xp. I'm still adjusting to the "user-friendly" windows 7.. thanks -mr. whukid |
