Problem - Clicking Crash Dive Icon or keyboard key sends me to radio room
Greetings folks.
I have a bug somewhere. I just pulled together this mod set up yesterday (based on stoianm's list). I'm fairly new to the game and could use help figuring out where the problem is. Thanks in advance! Welp, I made the change but it doesn't seem to have 'taken'. I suspect it has something to do with the Stormys DBSM mods loaded later.
Stoianm: Did you have to modify anything to get TDW's stuff working with Stormys stuff? John E. |

Sounds like its working the way the old UIs mod used to way back in the 3.4.something days. If this has been altered then by all means disregard my post, but here's how that feature works:
In silent hunter 5 the submarine crew will not proceed to crash dive as long as you (the captain) are outside the ship. To get around this, the UIs feature teleports you to the radioroom automatically. After this has taken place, a timer (which you can set) starts ticking off the seconds before the actual crash dive begins. So, while this can be annoying sometimes (like being teleported off your periscope), for the other 90% of the time you're going to be conducting emergency dives, you're going to be grateful that it teleports you automatically, instead of jamming the hotkeys and screaming at your XO like I did the first few times. Now, I noticed you're using stormy's sound mod and church's key commands. Good stuff on that mod list btw :up: There is a bug with these two mods. Stormy's mod (or maybe its another) screws with the crash dive feature. To fix it, follow sto's advice and go in and adjust Darkwraith's UI, change it to "C" like he said. That should fix it. Second thing is to change the timing on the dive, which you'll also find in the same section. Kylania made a nice video showing how to modify the options file, you can find it on youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Lf8ePjihIo If you're having trouble accessing the file you can download of demo of python here: http://www.python.org/ , which will allow you to open it up and modify the file. This video is months old so you'll have to just watch it as an example and not take it verbatum. Hope this helps! |

I get this using the beta mega mod from DW. I go inside by the attack periscope and press the crash dive icon. I end up in radio. :hmmm: Then again, I have played vanilla enough to know if this is a stock problem.
Makes no sense to me why I have to run by my men on the bridge without saying a word and as I enter the sub scream 'crash dive!' Bang... I'm in radio listening to some waltz. :haha: I suspect if I hear 'aircraft spotted.' I should in theory press the crash dive key or button and fight my way past my men to get inside.:DL |

I'm trying to sort out SH5. I have had it on my hard drive since it first was available. Truth be told I have maybe 5 hours total playing in the vanilla form. I stopped playing and continued on with SH4. Last weekend I decided to see what's shaking. I installed your beta mega mod and left port with Benard. There is a large learning curve for all the new icons that are usable. Getting the in and out of teleport(nice function by the way). Attempting to make heads or tails of the campaign that I was sent on.
