7th Flotilla -New Base Kiel Messages....
Just started a new career with the 7th and keep getting loads of messages stating the above...quick search on here seems it is a bug and has been around since 2006 at least.
Surprised GWX didnt sort that or have I borked something ? |
Don't have an answer, because I haven't had the problem. Hope somebody can figure it out for you. :sunny:

If you start with the 7th out of Konigsberg (in GWX) in August 1939, you'll get at least one message that will tell you to return to base and transfer to Wilhelmshaven (2 Flotilla) or Kiel (1 Flotilla) before starting your second patrol. I think it tells you to transfer to one or the other. That's the only thing I can think of. I don't remember getting a whole bunch of them, though. :hmmm:

I remember reading reports in the past of people getting constantly repeating Base-Change messages. Not limited to this time frame or GWX-related.

The same happened to me as well. During my first patrol I received orders to move to Kiel and it would be my new base. I docked there, and the next patrol I had a null patrol area and had orders to re-base to Willemshaven... So I figured that message could have been immersion only.

If you are starting from Königsberg and get the order to transfer to Kiel or Wilhelmshaven, what you need to do is -from the 'office' screen - click on the phone on your desk to request a transfer. You'll get a screen showing the other available flotillas/bases and you click to request a transfer to one of them. Once you have been successfully transferred to the new flotilla, the game will show its base as your home base as well. |
My original install had the base change problem.
(It's date related. Both bases are, incorrectly, active for a short time). Simplest fix is to take the Radioman off the radio for the duration of that patrol, and end the patrol at the new base. |
