Windows 7 and Steam
 

Hi all

I am using Windows 7 and got Silent hunter 3 from steam. I also downloaded the GWX expansion and in stalled it. At this point my problems began to spring up. Before I installed GWX SH3 would run fine but after I installed GWX when the mission or career begins to load up it gets to the end of the load bar and the stops responding.

I have ploughed through all the relevant posts but cannot find anything about sorting this out. I have also tried the wide screen mod and that also refuses to work

Any help is greatly Appreciated

How long are you waiting? Load times of around 10-20 minutes are not unheard of.

Yup. The last time I played SH3 was a few years ago and well the sub sim bug has bitten once again

Can someone please tell me where I can get the main menu music from gwx? I have search the whole folder but cant find it =(

After you install GWX, it should be one of the files in data\Sound\Music if I remember correctly.

I think it's called Menu_master_loop or something like that. Don't have access to my game files at the moment. Probably an .ogg file, I don't think it's a .wav... :hmmm:

If you don't have the proper codecs installed on your computer to open and play .ogg files in your media player of choice, you might not be able to open and listen to the file outside of the game itself.

hmmm forgot SH3 had it as sound file. shows I have not played this in a long time. anyhow thanks for the help will stop with the noob questions =)
