Don't know if anyones seen this, don't doubt my fellow Canadians have seen it, but here it goes.

Please excuse the amount of commercials. I tried to find one without it.. but couldn't succeed.

I get the joke... but i dont think it's Americans in general. i think most people are just gullible. and thats it.

sticking a camera and microphone in someones face instantly cuts most IQs in half.

with a little effort you can usually convince most folks of anything.

like the petition that gained thousands of signatures to ban "h2o" because it kills people every year (by drowning).

or the petition circulated at the woman's university to "end woman's suffrage"... which despite being a petition to take away their voting rights... was wildly supported.

nothing is more dangerous than a little knowledge.

EDIT:

one other thing... its kind of like "Jay walking" with Jay Leno; if he showed all the people that got his answers right, it wouldnt be nearly as entertaining. I always wondered how many people got edited out of shows like this because they didnt fall for the tricks and gimmicks and actually either called BS or got the answer correct

LOL I only saw the first one I'll view the rest later. But I think these videos prove my theory Canadians must be putting something into our drinking water!

Don't really know if you've taken offence from this or not GR, but if thats that's the case let me apologize. This was meant only as a "joke" thread and to share something I find entertaining and humorous.

Very true

I love Rick Mercer. Americans will be glad to know he is as merciless with his fellow canadians.

btw, Is Canada the only country were serving Prime Ministers appear on comedy shows?

It's easy to make any group or nationality look dumb. Just filter out the intelligent answers and pretend that the remaining ones represent the mainstream.

I don't believe that Americans are more foolish or gullible than any other nationality. I simply think that our open society allows our faults to be more readily exposed. It is a trade that I willingly make for our liberties.

It always depends on the level of imbicility which you want to show. People in a hurry are easier to make mistakes or give statements without proper thought. Interestingly it's the same with people who are extremly eager to say something into the cam.
It also depends on the question, the "suffrage" example is quite easy, as it's easy to mix with "suffering". Another factor is who asks - people still get fooled by ties and suits and most important is a serious tone of the interviewer.
So, by my experience, a rough estimate would be that between 10-80% of the interviews contain material which is foolish enough to use it. Note that people who just walk by or refuse to give a statement are not counted into this calculation.
