[TEC] editor_locations.mis: Terrain Harbour flags v1.2.1 & Harbour Addition MOD V0.1
Hi guys,
yesterday I've read in 'Harbour Addition MOD' thread that the this mod should be compatible with 'Terrain Harbour flags MOD', af far as it is enabled on top of the latter (by the way: many thanks to Stoianm and Pascal, who provided this information!). Nevertheless, being a curious guy I wanted to have a closer look to these two mods and their conflicting files. By doing so I "discovered" that shared files from 'Harbour Addition MOD' are mostly based -or very similar- to the equivalent ones from 'Terrain Harbour flags MOD', sharing most of the parameters and adding some changes or new parameters compared with stock files. This is consistent with the suggestion by Stoianm and Pascal, about the correct mod order. Though, there's an exception: editor_locations.mis files, located in campaign folders look very different; this is the file structure for Harbour Addition Mod: Code:
[Mission] Code:
[MapLocation 1] 1) What editor_locations.mis files do exactly? 2) If I leave JGSME overwriting the editor_locations.mis files from Terrain Harbour etc. with the ones from Harbour Add etc, won't the former mod loose some features? 3) If the answer to the latter question is yes, would it be possible to merge the conflicting files by simply copying/pasting the rows from the two of them in the same file? 4) again, if yes, should I put these rows in a specific order, or it doesn't matter? Well, I hope I made myself clear... Thank you in advance for your answers! :DL |
Hi gab!
the "editor locations" file can be loaded via Me to display the ports in the Me. This helps to place docked ships... greetings Han |
Thank you for the fast reply Han!
So, in other words these files are not used by SH5? Their use is only with ME? |
