"VIIC41 - Start with in beginning of campaign" Mod
 

This mod works for both Regular SH5 and also for Open Horizon II 1.9. Archive contains both, choose one of them based on what you already have installed. If you choose the OH version, be sure to install Open Horizon before you install this mod.

I have created a very small mod. This mod will give you the following:

• The VIIC/41 U-Boat from the beginning of the campaign and throughout the game in all flotillas (Forever)
• All torpedos available, the cost is original and untouched with 1945-inflation
• All equipment and upgrades available
• All weapons upgrades available
• All skins available
• All emblems available

I had been looking a long time for such a mod that allowed you to begin the campaign with the best u-boat, best equipment, best weapons and skin/emblems. I didn't find one so I created one myself. You still have to buy the equipments. You start off with the best u-boat, the VIIC/41, it has a stronger hull than the VIIC and it is also lighter (ironically) which makes it faster and better maneuverability.

Compatibility issues, installation order?

I have tested it with many mods, no compatability issues and you use JSGME to install it. Info file included.

It is also tested with NEWUi's by TheDarkWraith, it gave no compatability issues. (Also tested with 9 other popular mods, no issues there either)

Of all the mods I have installed, no mod touches the files that this mod will touch, so no installation order is needed. Install in any order you like.

Is this compatable with open horizons mod?

Well, Prien, Kretschmer and Schepke all have VIIBs, so it was not that bad :D. Except the fact that two of them died and one was taken prisioner in the second year of war...

Unfortunately I have never tried the horizons mod. Is it a good mod?

I installed the mod, does it automatically give you the VIIC/41? I can't find anything that tells me what boat I have on my new campaign :hmmm:

Unfortunately the download link has expired and I reformatted my system quite some time ago. I have lost my own work, can any one of you who have downloaded my mod, re-upload it to a fileserver so I can download it again?

Any chance you can upload it to another site that doesn't require you to Register and log in? Uploaded to Subsim would be even better.
