Let's see your manual targeting mod list -
I have tried lots of mod combos. I have three different game set ups on my computer, and with recent mod additions, they are all good. Here they are:
Map contacts are enabled. Setup No. 1 Trigger Maru Overhauled 2 TMO Update 20 to 21 RSRDC TMO V502 RSRDC V5xx Patch1 Fixed CD sonar RSRDC Fixed Zero Bomb Load RSRDC IJN Radar Fix for TMO v1 TMO Visuals for RSRDC SCAF for RSRDC v 502 2.0 Max Optics IV for TMO 2 Stock Map Icons TGT Dials for PK Fix TMO (Easy Aob) USS Barbarinna Fooskin Combo Custom Nav Map Make Over v. 2.0 Captain Midnights CBS News Sound Mod EAXsoundsim with Webster's Manauever TMO Extra Allied nvaval bases for SH4 + UBM + TMO1.7 3000 Yard-Meter Bearling Tools (1280 x 960) Damage caused by fires (TheDarkWraith) #4 PE4 Ship debris Sh4 with bodies New Large Lifeboats (Alternative set up: If "no map contacts" is enabled, delete Stock Map Icons and insert nisgeis' 3d TDC. This mod slows game play as plotting attacks take longer.) Setup No. 2 Webster's GFO Mod v1.1 Webster's New Orders Bar Menu for v1.5 #2 Submarine spash and roll pitch mod with #3 Corotio cameral fixes bugs for the uboats #4 Warships retextured #5 optional loading screen Extra Allied nvaval bases for SH4 + UBM + TMO1.7 Damage caused by fires (TheDarkWraith) Nav Map Make Over v. 1.1 New Large Lifeboat Real Guns Sound Mod USS Barbarinna Fooskin Combo Custom #4 PE4 Ship debris Sh4 with bodies Optical Targeting Correction (new mod) OTC US radar from Start (new mod) OTC German PPI Sceen (new mod) 3000 Yard-Meter Bearling Tools (1360x) Carotio's Intercontinental Radio Pack #1 Real Environment mod install Webster's GFO Patch for Real Env #1 Stock Map Icons Military Morse Code keys Carotio's SH4 TrukCoralHarbourCityLocations Alternative: If map "no map contacts" is enabled, determine speed by calculating the time it takes the target to cross the specified periscope bearing (I have yet to attempt this.), or use the 3D TDC if it does not conflict with OTC. If required, apply Capn Scurvy's tutorial on calcutiing target's course and speed with map contacts disabled or use the stand alone Sonar Tracking program. To be added: RSRDC v1.4 (per Webster if you use GFO with lurker's campaign mod) Harbor fix (if such a mod exists?) Setup No. 3 (for UBoats but this set up also provides for American boats in PTO). This is Operation Monsun, Operation Monsun Environmentally & Graphics Upgrade (OMEGU) and Kreigsmarine Interface for UBoats (KiUB.) OpsMonsun V705 OMv705 to 720 OMv720 Patch5 OMEGU v300 OMEGU V300 Patch7 pkg OM Plot V415 OM Harder Escort L2 OM MultCmd Keys Karamzov AOBF 19-9 Res OMEGU English KIUB English OM SH3 Command Keys OM Med Env Green Lamp 2 Carotio's InterconinentalRadioPack 3,000 Meter Bearing Tool (1360x) (Option: RSRDC and RFB.) I have just started using this mod and am still on a learning curve. Apparently it is compatible with both of these supermods. OM/OMEGU/KIUB is an excellent mod. All set ups: For plotting intercepts at long range, set up MOBO, a stand alone program, on the desk top. This is aaronblood's masterpiece, and can be downloaded in the MOBO forum. Mod fix request for GFO: Apparently OTC is not compatible with Easy Aob. If the Easy Aob fix for Aob only could be made compatible with GFO and OTC, it would be welcome. Need help to determine the lead angle? Download gutted's Solution Solver stand alone program. It is a great teaching and learning tool. Note: Carotio's InterconintentalRadioPack includes the TransAtlantic Radio Mod. The "Pack" includes three German radio stations (one with English war time broadcasts), Paris, Tokyo, Hawaii, Hollywood, NBC, CBS and BBC. It is activated via JGSME, and does not require changing the radio.ini files. |
Wow that's a lotta mods. :o

Knock out GFO and GFO related download options and option no. 2 does have so many mods (+/- 13). Webster designed GFO to be heavily moded, although he included many mod fixes in the GFO download. Knock out OM/OMEGU and KiUB mods, and option no. 3 has only three mods. It appears to be much worse than it actually is when you separate the "mod fixes" related the supermods, i.e TMO/RSRDC, GFO/Real Environment and OM/OMEGU/KiUB, from the mods that are independent of those fixes. |
This is the list of mods I expect to use next patrol: |
Just started another career. I usually run a few others, just haven't loaded them yet.
IGD, trying to figure what's duplicate. Certainly mod soup is possible when you load lot's of mods that screw each other up, so I only use those I've tested. I've certainly gotten mod soup testing mods. If we could just get Duc to include all these, then our list would be short indeed.:O: |
Mods Version....

Need some advice here :hmmm: 1 -If I decide not use the TGT Dials for PK Fix TMO (Easy Aob) and I decided to use OTC that is not compatible with Easy AOB a) should I use the mod ---> optical_targeting_correction or the mod ---> otc_for_rsrdc_550 ? b) Because otc_for_rsrdc_550 is for V550, and if I follow your mod soup whe have the mod RSRDC TMO V502, so... c1) Is it safe to use otc_for_rsrdc_550 with RSRDC TMO V502 ? c2) If not, any mod soup based in TMO+RSRDC can not use the OTC ? 2) Is there any Omnimeter as I see in the Omnimeter manual from CaptnScurvy in pdf or any other format ready to print? So I can make my Omnimeter in order to feel more imersive ingame? 3) The optics are calibrated so whe can use the RAOBF weel? (I mean, the game or the mod list give use the correct optics and correct dimension of target?) to use the chronometer to estimate speed too. 4) the eyes.... well... I know it depends but what is the best interior mod for SH4? I hope all the answers can help a lot of "Rats" like me :D |

mods list
Reviewing IGD's mods lists makes me realise why I haven't been playing SH4 much recently. I would call it mod fatigue. There are too many mods needed to get the game up to snuff. I want to go out on another patrol, but dislike having to fiddle around with all these mods. (Even with all the mods currently available for SH4, there are still serious flaws in the game.) |

Ahhh! yes! I use this mod "D3D9Antilag" and its a must to save any graphic card and I quote " D3D9 antilag helps to reduce input lag in Direct3D9 games by limiting the amount of frames that are rendered ahead by the video card. It can also limit the framerate for smoother gameplay and reduced cpu/gpu utilization" The eye cant see more then 35 fps, right? realy good to use in all games  |
karamovnew refers to it as the AOBF wheel.

RAOBF

Anyway, RAOBF and Omnimeter is just one cosmetic change for the true sinus scale! The sinus scale or one slide ruller, it was what they use by that time. RAOBF, Omnimeter under the OTC mod, they are only cosmetic, eye candy! The fact is that with a slide ruller and sinus scale you can get Range to target and AOB using AOB = arc sin ((Aspect Ratio Observed) / (Aspect Ratio Reference)) As easy as that :03: |
