Terror plot BA man Rajib Karim gets 30 years
A former British Airways software engineer has been jailed for 30 years for plotting to blow up a plane.
Rajib Karim, 31, from Newcastle, used his job to access information for an al-Qaeda preacher based in Yemen to target BA's flights in the US. Sentencing him at Woolwich Crown Court, Mr Justice Calvert-Smith said he was a committed jihadist who planned offences "about as grave as could be imagined". The judge said he had worked "incessantly" for terrorist purposes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12788224 Note: 18 March 2011 Last updated at 14:32 GMT |
He's 31, he'll be out at the latest when he's 61.
Earlier with good behaviour/parole. He'll be able to continue on his merry ways when he gets out. Unless he converts whilst imprisoned. Buckleys of that happening. 30 years, what a joke. |
30 years and lifetime expulsion, I guess
|
He can get a longer sentence when he apparently came from Newcastle, where they are "tough" especially if the beer is running low :timeout:

He will be out in 10 years and that's a fact. :nope:
Seen it all before. |

He'll be doing his 30 then automatic deportation has been included in the sentence. |
