jzip problem
I just set up a multi install. The new file is GFO. I activated JGSME. I downloaded several GFO mods into the MODS foler created by JGSME. When I tried to extract them via jzip I get an access violation error. Also, mult-sh4 will not allow me to name a save file for the GFO games. The game itself is a fresh install from disk, so that so that shouldn't be the issue.

Sounds like you've installed under "C:\Program Files"...? :hmmm:

I did. I moved the file to the C directory, as it seemed like that is what you were suggesting. Guess what? jzip worked fine. I have no idea why, but I do not need to know. Thanks for the suggestion. Now I can try out Capn Scruvy's OTC mod.:D

Many files are read only in the Program directory, moving to another directory removes this problem.

jzip trojans
cnet and softonic no longer allow downloads of jzip as it has trojans bundled with it. trying to find an alternative

zipped mod files are not meant to be installed into jsgme |

I always use 7zip. It integrates into Windows Explorer and just works without any fanfare. And it's open source, unlike WinRAR.

7zip can be found in the download section here in Utilities
