I believe we all assume certain things as a basis before we help or pass judgement on things.I made the mistake in real life at work assuming everyone could read and write.I was wrong and it changed my outlook on things since then.Forum posts are usually kept short and a lot of people write things in their mind as they type.Fewer still re-read what they've written.Grats on getting a happy ending as thats the main thing:DL

John, we do not see you as an idiot, but one that would have helped along the way, after the patch so it is important that you get the correct version, or it may likely be that the game is already upgraded :yep:

How old is your pc? Mine is five years old; and I can run GWX + the High resolution mod and MEP V3 (which is a mod that improves the ingame environment). I haven't tried Flakman's Interior Mod yet; that one seems to be the heaviest on your computer.
By the way; if you're getting GWX then be sure to also activate the GWX-Lite Harbor Traffic mod (it's part of GWX so no need to download it seperately, just activate through JSGME) It decreases the number of ships rendered in the harbors which will make sh3 run more smoothly.

That shouldn't be too much of a problem. GWX was specifically designed to keep processing demands low. If you can run SH3, GWX shouldn't be a problem.

My system is now six-years old, and upgraded as far as the technology will allow. I can't run GWX's damage model, but that's my only problem with the mod. I've reached the limit on how many other mods I can add. I have BBW's version of the Wilhelmshaven mod, but I can't run FM's New Interiors or IABL's Merchant Fleet Mod.

But GWX itself? No problem.

I will give GWX a shot and see what happens.

I tried the new blue interior MOD and it slowed the game right down when in the command room, everything was very jerky and uncomfortable to look at, so much so that I just un-modded it and went back to normal

I would like the GWX so I will see what happens

Ta

Here's hoping you enjoy the GWXperience.
