Changing options in the middle of a camaign?

I'm sure this has been answered a million times, but my search-fu is clearly too weak.

I got started in a campaign and made it through kiel canal & almst to my AO when i realised somewhow i'm still on easy mode!

Is there someplace i can go to edit my options?

I'm running TDW's MO mod with mano's scopes.

Thanks!

i do not think so:hmmm: - i think you must be in bunker to change your options.

Thanks. I guess i'll just do this patrol then change them. I enjoy doing all of my own plotting. Not sure why, no matter how many times i put my settings how i want them, it defaults back to 38%.

Thanks for the replies. I used the harbor pilot for about half my trip through the canal. Then I freaked out and overode it when I had a near miss with a freighter. I then re-activ ated the harbor pilot ;) lol. Im still at 70% hull integrity, I reported tobdu it was the pilots fault, hehe. Good thing its 1939 and I can operate with relative impunity :).

Let me make sure i understand how this is supposed to work.

I signed on for the Coastal Shipping mission. I'm supposed to sink 50,000 tons. If i run out of ordnance i just go back and refit until i get to 50k then i go back and end mission right?

Assuming i've got the gist so far, can i change options at a refit, or do i have to do it between missions?

Thanks :)

You can end patrol and change objectives anytime you are in base . Your tonnage will stay on record . The only time i refit is when my base is too far away and a friendly port is closer . Watch out for deadline dates in the objectives , does ending a patrol take longer than refit ?

Refit is near instantaneous. If you end patrol it seems to be about 2 or 3 weeks till the new patrol start date.

With refit you can only re-arm and refuel. Crew's morale stays as is. New patrol you can upgrade and the crew's morale is reset. Also hull damage is not repaired during a refit. Starting a new patrol restores hull integrity to 100%.

Yes sometime you get a bad pilot:arrgh!:

Ive found the best method is to set speed to 7knot and goto map at tc64.

If you watch from the bridge and a ship is in your path, note your heading (say 270) and without stopping or pausing, steer past ship. Re-set your heading to the one you noted (270)and pilot should continue fine:up:

Thanks, i think i'll go ahead and go back to port.

I went to use my deck gun and got a friggin laser range-finder/visual ballistics calculator! 21st century tech! Crazy. I need to turn this crap off before i get lazy ;)
