Patrol TC
I generally use full TC en route to and from my patrol areas. Once there, I patrol at 128. I accelerate if the weather is bad enough to ground aircraft. But what about night or submerged?
What do other players do? |
When I'm far from land and in the middle of nowhere, I'll run at 1024 or 2048. Close to land and in range of aircraft I usually run at 128.
It seems that aircraft don't spot you at higher TC(which may be a good thing when crossing the Bay of Biscay from 1943 on :O:). Now that I have a couple of careers around that time period, I try to watch my TC and not run it too high compared to earlier in the war. :) |
Usualy start off with 64 & 128 depending on circumstances & location.
When the longer patrols start 256 across "the middle of nowhere", with an occasional run at 512. But "the middle of nowhere" shrinks as allied air range expands. |

For me it goes like this:
512 in friendly waters (close to friendly shore and outside enemy air cover) 128 inside enemy air range, speeding up to 256 if weather is too bad for planes anyway 64 if I know or suspect there are enemies just behind the horizon |
