Do game mechanics allow me to simulate a real transfer?
 

Hi everyone,

I am using GWX and SH3 Cmdr, and I am wondering if there is a real way to simulate a transfer. I am currently in 2nd Flotilla in 11/42 or so, and I would actually like to go through the trouble of going through Gibralter in an attempt to get to the Med. Once I have gotten there, is there any actual way to xfer to the 23rd flotilla w/o having to go back to Lorient and put in a "magic xfer" there? Do the game mechanics w/GWX and SH3 Cmdr allow me to do something like get to Salamis and set that as my new base?

Do you have a low profile, you will not have any trouble passing Gibraltar, and then on, regarding your question, I am very unsure if it worked as you suggest to do it manually

no, I don't think it's possible. However, it's possible if you start a new career in the 23rd with Ducimus' Tweak Pack for GWX. See here:

If you choose a career in the 23rd you start at La Rochelle and get a patrol grid in the Med.

If you want to extract this feature from his Tweak Pack, take a look at the files:

data\cfg\Flotilla.cfg

data\Menu\cfg\menu\flotillas.cfg

data\Menu\en_menu.txt

All required changes are inside these files.

just wondering, isnt it possible to make your patrol as usual, then dock up in your prefered harbor (Salamis or whatsever) and then do the actual flottila change?

IIRC: To do this you need to be able to click on the phone after clicking on the desk while in port. If you are not in your port, you do not have access to the desk.

In the linked topic Tessa mentions that it's possible to do a "realistic transfer". Haven't tried this myself though.
