Frozen TDC
Hey guys-
Using GWX and OLC. Twice now in the past few weeks, my TDC has frozen... or rather, when I call it up, it's on auto so I can't change anything, but it recalculates as I change my bearing- I can only assume it's in manual mode when closed. Anyone else has this issue? |
There should be a small switch to the lower left of those dials that locks and unlocks them.

yeah- that dial brings up the TDC- normally it also switches it too... but now when i click it and the TDC comes up, but I can't twiddle the dials.
manual targeting is on |
I've had occasional glitches with that knob. Sometimes it would spontaneously reverse its function, and only allow dial tweaking in the 'off' or 'locked' position.
I suggest you save and reload the game; see if the problem persists. Also check to see if you've installed any conflicting mods recently. |
no conflicting mods, loading saved game- problem persists.
So long as I line up with a ship 500 m away that's either moving directy toward or away from me, or isn't moving at all, and I'm set. elsewise... UGH! And I have nearly a full load of eels too! |
So it's broken on both the attack scope AND the TDC screen?
What about the UZO? |
Yup- everywhere! :(
|
bump- help??? :(
|
Yup, that's a known glitch with the OLC mods. As far as I am aware, there is no known cause of yet. There is a temporary fix though. (it might get stuck again later in the game) Go to the TDC-table in the 3D compartment and click the TDC Auto Update Light. That releases the 2d wheels and it works again as it should.
I find it odd that reloading the game doesn't fix it. Usually all GUI elements get reset to default when reloading a savegame. |
