Warship Shadowing Somali Pirates Who Captured Four Americans
MOGADISHU, Somalia -- A warship is shadowing a yacht with four Americans on board that was hijacked by Somali pirates, a pirate said Sunday, as the vessel was reported to be moving closer to the Somali coast.
The yacht Quest was hijacked on Friday off the coast of Oman, but is now in the waters between Yemen and northern Somalia, two pirates and a Somali government official told The Associated Press. One pirate who gave his name only as Hassan said a warship with a helicopter on its deck is near the Quest. The pirate's claim could not be independently verified, and U.S. officials on Sunday did not release any information about the yacht. A U.S. Embassy spokesman on Saturday said officials were assessing options and "possible responses." http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/02...red-americans/ Note: Published February 20, 2011 |

Since Christianity is all about the afterlife, I say stop the ship, let the hostages fulfill their faith, and blow pirate SOB's up. Better yet hang them in public. :yeah:
Enough is enough. Maritime law be damned! |

Not a good ending.

Makes me wonder if these pirates were linked to Al Shabaab. :hmmm:
They saw the game was up and decided to off some infidels before being taken down. :nope: |
Information Dissemination has some updates. CENTCOM/5th Fleet had a phone interview and some of the contents of that are getting reported now.
It seems that there was some sort of dispute among the pirates that blew up in their, and our, faces. It doesn't appear that the pirates were reacting to a US raid or anything like that. |

I trust that we'll be showing the surviving pirates a good time. Unofficially, of course.

I'm waiting for the escape attempt.
The one where they tie themselves to an anchor and try to float away. |
