I'm new
I am new to the forums. I am looking for some assistance with some of the modern subsims. I love the SH series, and have played them quite a bit, but I really want to learn 688, or sub command, or Dangerous Water, preferably all three.

WELCOME ABOARD! :sunny:
Take a look around. There is a forum just for modern subsims, and you'll find a lot of good help there. |
I have owned Dangerous Waters and the above sims for a long time. I never got into Dangerous Waters. I read the manual, I watched the tutorials, I even read some online guides and I learned:
1) What the buttons do 2) The Tutorials are almost useless 3) Most guides on the internet are written poorly 4) Most guides I have seen on the internet are full of useless information I need to know if there are people about who would have the patience to tlak me through at least one mission with the DW. I fail every time. Even the one stars. I know where to sail, and what to do to finish, but it always says I fail, or I die. BTW, I am also posting this on the DW forum :) So thanks in advance for the useful tip of going to that forum. |
Welcome aboard, Brian!

Hi
Welcome to Subsim, Brian.
This is the number one naval sim forum. If you can't get help here, you can't get it. My fave modern sim (no longer modern) is FAST ATTACK. I have also played 688 but gave it up as there is very little to see. It would have been good to have a better internal sub, as SH does, and maybe crew. The state of programming and graphics of the time didn't allow it. I am sure there is more for you on the threads dealing with those games you mention. Use the search feature too, searching for a game title like '688' to drill down to what you want. Luck :salute: |
