I'm new
hey all, i just joined last night. I definately like the silent hunter series...my favorite is sh3, with gwx3 and a few other mods. I actually already have a question, im not sure if this is the right thread or not, but i was wondering if there was any mod or ability to separately control the engines in sh3

Welcome aboard!
If you mean a mod that will let you control the starboard and port engines independently of each other, I don't think so. |
thanks!
yea thats what i mean, well sad day, lol |
Oh, stick around, I could be wrong. :D
But I'm pretty sure the possibility has come up before and I don't remember anyone ever finding a way to do it. |
Welcome aboard:yeah:
There is much to learn, and friends to meet:salute: |
Welcome to SUBSIM

Welcome! Remember to close all hatches before diving. The inside isn't as waterproof as you'd think.
|
haha, thanks everyone! yea i figured out the inside wasnt waterproof on one of my first outings on sh3...getting stuck with 4 destroyers close to Pas-de-Calai isnt very fun, and depth charges don'y help keep the water out, lol

Welcome Aboard!:arrgh!:
I don't think you can control engines like that in SH3. I believe it was looked into early on whne the game was released, but it is hard coded. |
Welcome to the family :DL
So far there aren't any mods that allow you to have complete control over your engines. Will need to use the external cam and see, such as a knuckle turn where you would (irl) run one prop flank and the other one full reverse to help you turn faster, I don't think the game does that for you. Think it just puts the rudders to max port/starboard with both engines moving synchronized. |

I'd like more control over engines, like running electrics on the surface... |
