We reprint yesterday's address of the Prime Minister. http://www.johndclare.net/images/wwii2.nochoice.jpg "I am speaking to you from the Cabinet Room at 10, Downing Street. This morning the British Ambassador in Berlin handed the German Government a final note stating that unless we heard from them by 11.00 a.m. that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Germany. You can imagine what a bitter blow it is to me that all my long struggle to win peace has failed. Yet I cannot believe that there is anything more or anything different I could have done and that would have been more successful. Up to the very last it would have been quite possible to have arranged a peaceful and honourable settlement between Germany and Poland, but Hitler would not have it. He had evidently made up his mind to attack Poland whatever happened; and although he now says he has put forward reasonable proposals which were rejected by the Poles, that is not a true statement. The proposals were never shown to the Poles nor to us; and although they were announced in a German broadcast on Thursday night, Hitler did not wait to make comment on them, but ordered his troops to cross the Polish frontier. His actions show convincingly that there is no chance of expecting that this man will ever give up his practice of using force to gain his will. He can only be stopped by force. We and France are today, in fulfilment of our obligations, going to the aid of Poland, who is so bravely resisting this wicked and unprovoked attack on her people. We have a clear conscience. We have done all that any country could do to establish peace. The situation in which no word given to Germany’s ruler could be trusted and no people or country could feel themselves safe has become intolerable. And now that we have resolved to finish it, I know that you will play your part with calmness and courage. At such a moment as this the assurances of support that we have received from the Empire are a source of profound encouragement to us. When I have finished speaking certain detailed announcements will be made on behalf of the Government. Give these your closest attention. The Government have made plans under which it will be possible to carry on the work of the nation in the days of stress and strain that may be ahead. But these plans need your help. You may be taking part in the fighting Services or as a volunteer in one of the branches of civil defence. If so you will report for duty in accordance with the instructions you have received. You may be engaged in work essential to the prosecution of war for the maintenance of the life of the people – in factories, in transport, in public utility concerns or in the supply of other necessaries of life. If so, it is of vital importance that you should carry on with your jobs. Now may God bless you all. May He defend the right. It is the evil things that we shall be fighting against – brute force, bad faith, injustice, oppression and persecution – and against them I am certain that the right will prevail." |
TOKYO NICHI NICHI SHIMBUN Winter 1940 ----------- BANZAI FOR THE EMPEROR ----------- 3Y ITALIAN NAVY CRUSH BRITISH FLEET http://www.fleetairarmarchive.net/Sh...25_11_1941.jpg The courageous Regina Marina has crushed the Royal Navy in an exciting clash off the coast of Malta with two battleships sunk and two heavily damaged with no casualties to the Italian air-force and navy. Furthermore, a destroyer and submarine flotilla were annihilated by the Italian submarine and air arm. It is now certain that the mighty Italian army will prevail over the British communists in the Mediterranean. In other news, the High Command has denied that it unsuccessfully attempted to attach propellers to the legs of young schoolgirls to turn them into fighter aircraft under a program codenamed Sutoraiku Witchizu. Emperor Oberon is understood to have initiated the program after studying something called 'anime'. It is unknown how this 'anime' will affect our crushing victories over the primitive and aggressive Chinese. |

Tea drinkers suffered severe casualties while Regina Marina didn't take any. Especially submarine men and pilots excelled in the battle by causing heavy casualties to the british. Saying "mare nostrum" finally applies! Poseidon! Enjoy those british ships! |
DAS REICH Summer 1941 - DEUTCHE WOCHENZEITUNG - RED ARMY CRUSHED! http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk...te/operat3.jpg It took only three months of fighting until the red army was completely surrounded and forced to surrender. Luftwaffe annihilated the red army's airforces, while taking only a little or no casualties at all. Luftwaffe's complete air superiority gave the panzers a chance to breakthrough the communist's lines and run deep into the Soviet Union territory, capturing important industrial centers. Hitler is confident that Moscow will fall by Christmas. Kriegsmarine's flagship Bismarck was sunk in the atlantic ocean. Allied ships suffered severe casualties during the fierce battle but their numbers were too many for Bismarck and thus our crown jewel met her noble end. The high command announced that every sailor who served on Bismarck will be awarded by a 2nd class iron cross for their absolute bravery. U-BOATS CONTINUE TO CRIPPLE THE BRITISH http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...2454444405.jpg The U-boats have inflicted massive amounts of damage to allied shipping this summer, with over 200 ships sunk. Renowned u-boat captains are celebrated as heroes throughout the reich and the crew is welcomed home with cheers after long patrols. Allies are powerless. They are doomed to watch as u-boats sink their ships one by one. Soon the brits will be on their knees! |

Following the recent surprise attack on the US' principal naval base in Pearl Harbor, Oahu, the United States has declared war the Empire of Japan. This event is the culmination of the recent years' tensions over Japanese expansionism in China and South-East Asia, which have rapidly escalated following Japan's invasion of French Indochina and the subsequent US oil embargo earlier this year. Germany and Italy, both Japan's allies, have also declared war on the United States, which has now joined the conflict already raging in Europe. Further attacks have been reported against the Philippines, British possessions in South-East Asia, the Dutch East Indies and various Pacific island groups, many of which have fallen to invasion by Imperial Japanese forces. However, United States forces have already begun deploying to Australia and islands across the Pacific in order to stop the Japanese advance, and crash mobilization and shipbuilding programs are being put into effect. Sources in the US military remain confident that the Allies can swiftly halt and defeat this unprovoked Japanese offensive. |
TOKYO NICHI NICHI SHIMBUN Winter 1941----------- BANZAI FOR THE EMPEROR ----------- 5Y VICTORY AGAINST AMERICAN DOGS http://elproyectomatriz.files.wordpr...-harbour-1.jpg The American fleet lies in ruins in the waters of Pearl Harbour today as the heroes of the Imperial Japanese Navy struck a decisive blow against our oppressors. In all some five battleships and countless smaller vessels were annihilated by our pilots with minimal losses. As our brave forces march across the Pacific, the United States cowers before us, paralyzed like their President and they will soon join their precious battleships at the graveyard of history. This is a great day for the Japanese Empire! Banzai for the Emperor!! In other news, the office of the Emperor has denied giving Japanese pilots involved in the Pearl Harbour attack express orders to open fire on any 'stupid Americans involved in love triangles'. More on this story later. |

The snow and frost has hampered any offensive operations, and put fritz in his place, also showing their incompetence in war. As they fight through the rubble of the once and still proud city defending against the few small axis attacks, obviously the axis are showing their true face. a face of cowardism, who cannot even take on the final defenders. Each day, a step closer to victory! |
TOKYO NICHI NICHI SHIMBUN Spring 1942----------- BANZAI FOR THE EMPEROR ----------- 6Y BATTLESHIP SUFFERS TRAGIC ACCIDENT IN OPERATIONS http://www.designcowboys.net/Yamato/...-goes-down.jpg The Battleship Mutsu suffered a tragic explosion in her forward battery today whilst on patrol and sunk with heavy loss of life. This marks the first casualty by the Imperial Japanese Navy although it is stressed that this was not due to enemy action but through a lack of safety awareness on board the ammunition storage lockers. Battleship captains have been urged to go on a three day Health and Safety Awareness course held by the Emperor entitled "High Explosives and You." with practical demonstrations being provided by random Chinese civilians. |
Honolulu Star-Bulletin Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, U.S.A., Spring 1942 - Price Five Cents. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...c7/Yamato4.jpg Japan Bloodied in the Gilberts Following an unfortunate string of reverses in the last several months following Japan's surprise attack on Allied forces late last year, the Japanese have been handed a bloody defeat by the US Navy in a naval battle off the Gilbert Islands. After intercepting a Japanese invasion fleet headed for the island of Tamana, the US Task Force launched a devastating air attack which left a Japanese battleship dead in the water and sinking, forcing the Japanese fleet to abandon its plan to take the island and withdraw. The 33rd Infantry Division continues to hold Tamana, which remains the Allies' last foothold in the Gilberts. Analysts are confident that this defeat is the first sign of the tide turning against the Japanese advance, as the US' continually increasing military and economic power is beginning to rapidly outpace Japan's. --- Yeah, pretend I wrote that a couple of weeks ago. |

The US command seems paralyzed with no way of defeating the Japanese steamroller as their fleet scatters before us and their army melts away before the heat of our fury! Meanwhile in the west, swathes of Burma and India fall to our forces as they smash through the weak British defences. Truly nothing can stop the might of the Empire of Japan! Meanwhile, Emperor Oberon has denied that he has created a new group known as the 'SOS-dan' in order to investigate supernatural happenings such as espers, time traveling agents and agents from the great universal computer. |
TOKYO NICHI NICHI SHIMBUN Fall 1942----------- BANZAI FOR THE EMPEROR ----------- 14Y US SOLDIERS RECRUITED TO HELP FEED GOAT POPULATION http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/356/064vij.jpg The United States Marine Corp has been employed by Imperial Japan to help feed goat herds on the remote island of Santa Cruz. Mistakenly labelled a 'successful invasion' by American propaganda, the goat handlers smuggled weapons onto the island and are now attempting to weaponise the goat herds to use against the peace-loving nation of Japan. The Emperor has stated that the weaponization of goats is a crime against humanity and all reason and has announced that the Imperial Japanese Navy will deploy immediately to rescue the goats that have been taken hostage and drive the goat-handlers from Santa Cruz. Meanwhile the Emperor has denied reports that a section of secret service agents were deployed to Egypt in a search for something called "Super-Mega Ultra Chicken", supposedly this 'Chicken' is a rare collectable card which possesses magical powers, but no-one knows anything more than that. |

This news came as a great shock to many in the Japanese High Command which currently represents a termite nest which has been kicked by a giant. When our reporter asked the Emperor why he has named the operation after the ritual suicide technique of the Samurai, the Emperor promoted the reporter to the rank of Chinese civilian and had him shot. In other news, the Emperors attempt to animate a suit of armour purchased from the Third Reich has failed, so he has called upon representatives from Germanys Thule Society to assist in solving his conumdrum. |
TOKYO NICHI NICHI SHIMBUN Fall 1943 ----------- BANZAI FOR THE EMPEROR ----------- 80Y EMPEROR ANOUNCES DEAL WITH US NAVY http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4042/4...b237451f_z.jpg The Emperor today has explained why so many of the IJNs slow battleships and cruisers have been sunk by the United States Navy. According to the Emperor a deal was reached with Washington just before the attack on Pearl Harbour in which the US Navy and the Imperial Japanese Navy would decommission each others old battleships and help reduce unemployment in each others countries by freeing up places in the navy for fresh recruits and preventing the IJN from having so many outdated warships like the Royal Navy of Britain. In the same statement the Emperor also denied reports that he ordered the battleship Yamato to be made 'space-worthy' before the end of the year. |
