C.O.D. Black Ops Gameplay figures released

62 BILLION video game soldiers were harmed in the making of this story. That's how many times players have died in blockbuster shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops since its release last November, according to publisher Activision.

For example, the total "kill count" is nine times the population of the world, or 62 billion.
Players shot down more than 1.2 billion virtual airplanes and destroyed about 900 million cars.
And though the math behind it isn't really explained, Activision says Black Ops gamers fight the equivalent of World War II more than 160 times per day.

The latest instalment in the popular Call of Duty franchise broke entertainment product records when it was released, raking in $360 million in sales within 24 hours.

Activision, I'm guessing, is American? :yep:

Oh, and I think I've died more than 62 billion times in Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Seconded. I played Black Ops through once right to the end, it bored me to tears. Multi I'm guessing is basically a CoD4 rehash in the cold war. Nothing really new.

I couldn't get past the 60 dollar price tag. I won't pay 60 bucks for a game. I drew the line at 50.

I bought the Presige edition on the day it was released and haven't even played it yet.

Call of duty would be better if they did not base the game on real life. Imagine what would happen if there was a Russian game that featured a mass murder at an American airport. The us government would go ape. Why not go and make a game that is about shooting someone everyone hates, like those annoying 12 yr olds you always meet online, or the mossad, maybe even black water. Half life 2 had you against an enemy the whole of humanity disliked.

The way it is call of duty is blatant propaganda. Its all I LUV AMEYRIKUR while eating apple pie with one hand and holding the flag in the other. Make a game everyone would like without having you feel like you are guilty of killing your own country. Or at least make a campaign from both sides.

Wow had a bit of a rant there.

Well, i do agree they went overboard in the patriotism department. There is such a thing as being over-patriotic. It's a novel concept that not everyone grasps, COD developers in particular.
