Ingame maps?

Im sure this question has come up before. Is there a better detailed map and grid that you can use ingame. Im not talking about the maps you can print out or use as refrence, but the one you click on ingame (navigational map). Everytime I get a radio message saying "sunk such and such in patrol grid AN5616" you can only zoom to AN56 block but not the quadrents. Does or has anybody created this mod yet? Is there a possibility to extract and use the grid and map from sh4?

I don't think it's possible to do that, but there's a lot I don't know. I do know that SH4-UBM does exactly that.

Don't forget that those radio messages are for immersion only - there's nothing there.

Also, the pull-down map in GWX has a little 'sub-grid' map. I use it to note my own four-digit location in my daily log.

Yes I know theres nothing there but im always curious to glance where it is. Dont know why. I also know what your talking about i've used that too as a refrence. Just wanting to know if its already been done or even thought of. Is sh4 ubm in the downloads section or is there a link?

No, you have to buy SH4. The Gold version has the UBM.

I have and play sh4 with uboat missions thats where I got the idea. I was just wondering if they had that for sh3.

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. As I say, I could be wrong but I don't think it's even possible.
