Pickin' and Grinnin'

It's 0200 hours where I'm at, and I just got home from a fun jam! We got invited to join in an acoustic show, and had a great time. We were way down the list of scheduled players (as in last), so we got there at eight and did't play until after ten. We played three songs and then sat for another hour-and-a-half before we played another three. But it was musicians playing for musicians, and there were some good ones there. And a couple of bad ones, but we won't go into that.

Anyway, Charles's son Dorian recorded the first three on his iPhone, and they were better than I thought while we were playing them. The second set was even better, but he hasn't put it up yet. In fact, I don't know if he even recorded those. I hope so.

So here's three acoustic songs by Monkey Rum, complete with four-part harmony. :D

I just got home from work as well and now I have something to do! Thanks, Steve!:yeah:

I'll have to play the music very quietly, though. Everyone here is asleep.

edit: too many smokers and jokers - difficult to hear the lyrics

My computer doesn't even have speakers - just headphones.

Unfortunately that's what happens when you play in a bar and the guy recording you is in the middle of the crowd.

I advice you to read the whole line carefully again, and pay attention to the first part.

thanks for the advice. it seems that my strategy of reading posts from the end to the beginning failed this time.

How cool was that Steve

Just a pity about the background noise as James has pointed out.

Bookmarked for repeat performances.:yeah:

Very nicely done, Steve!! It would have been nice to hear w/o the crowd, but it's also pretty cool to hear with them as well - adds that barroom gig vibe to it!

Awesome, mate!

That was good, Steve.

You must like music like James Taylor and Gordon Lightfoot ?

Keep it up, you've got talent.

:yep: Among a great many others. We bill ourselves as Folk/Rock/Country/Metal/Blues. If you haven't already, follow the links to the Monkey Rum @ 5 Monkeys and Monkey Rum @ Liquid Joe's clips, or my sig to our website.

Very nice:up:, shame about the bar noise but thats what you get at live sets and adds to the atmosphere.
