Damn snow in the NE

I was supposed to go to nyc today, apparently not happening due to flight cancellation.Mother nature is a real ..... sometimes:damn:

Takeda Shingen 01-27-11 01:11 PM

Yeah, man. I was out shoveling for 5 hours this morning.

Growler 01-27-11 01:12 PM

Just short of eleven inches down here outside of Baltimore, so I imagine NYC got slammed - again.

Heavy, wet snow, too - looks lovely, but shoveling it is a bit... tedious.

What's snow?

Growler 01-27-11 01:16 PM

Five to Ten in a Federal Pen.

Knowing New Englanders, probably not.

I live in or-gone, you say the word snow and everything shuts down:har::nope:.

Growler 01-27-11 01:59 PM

Areas of Central and Eastern Maryland are like that, too. These people make goldfish look smart. I mean, it DOES snow here, often enough that more people should know how to drive in it. But you wouldn't know it to watch 'em.

I used to say that, "You could spit on the highway on a clear sunny day and people would immediately crash into each other because the road was wet."

Then I got creamed by a truck on a clear, dry, sunny morning, so I stopped adding the "wet road" part.

Just to give you something to day dream about:

Its 60F outside my house right now, nice clear blue sky.;)

People here are just stupid. When it rains here, people drive faster. One snow flake, people drive 5 mph, break out the studded tires. Then, there's the moron male drivers in their monster trucks:shifty:.

Heh. I'm headed to Palm Springs in a week or so, so as long as BWI doesn't get snowed in by then, I'll be good to go. Got enough beer to last til then.:D

krashkart 01-27-11 02:18 PM

The heavy snows have missed Corn Land this year. So far, anyway.

Now that I've jinxed the weather; we'll be tunneling our way through the snow by tomorrow morning. :shifty:
