hehe, what a guy... mr olympia 7 times, the youngest ever winner at the age of 23, and some awesome movies to boot.
Dunno about the politics, but I always liked how he appeared to not really take himself too seriously (see his list of films).

I still think one of his best film lines comes from Conan The Barbarian (for me the best realisation of R. E. Howard's mythic character - arnie is conan). When asked what are the best things in life, he replies "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women." Simply marvellous. :DL

" Now we're going to play a little game. Who's your daddy?":haha:

The ridiculous amount of ice/freeze related puns in the awful "Batman and Robin" in which Arnie played Mr. Freeze crack me up things like "chill out" and "tonights forecast, a hard freeze!" LOL

Oh yea, can never forget Kindergarten Cop "its not a tumor!" :har:

that quote actually is more or less from Ghengis Khan, but there is no single definitive translation into the english from medieval mongolian, and the conan one is better than most:up:

That line always comes to mind when I'm playing a grand campaign. :D

So many of those are so lame, so silly, so stupid...which I guess is what makes them so much fun.

I don't remember if it was a comedian, or if it was Rainier Wolfcastle from the Simpsons:

"Maria! Help me! I cannot comb my hair! I cannot reach because my biceps are too mighty!"

:rotfl2:

"I did nothing...the pavement was his enemy" :DL

And that's funny, because according to legend Arnie was originally asked to play the hero, Kyle Reese, but said he'd rather be the 'bad guy'.

But I agree. In the original he was perfect. In fact the whole movie was perfect, being as it was a closed loop which needed no sequels.

I love his accent.:D
To bad all the movies here are dubbed in German.:damn:

In Arnie's first movie they thought his accent was so bad they dubbed him. There are lots of clips from that awful movie, but most of them are from the rerelease, with Arnold's real voice. Even though it's only one line, this was the only clip I could find of the movie as I originally saw it.

:har:

That's awesome. There stands Ah-nold, looking at Zeus. Suddenly, he speaks with an almost Orson Wells-esque 'I'm tired of the same old people; the same old things'.
