President Oberon To Give State of the Union Address

Quote:

President Oberon is due to give his State of the Union address tomorrow, and in it he wishes to address the hardships endured by our brave Men of War as they fight against each other in the LOLwaffles War on Decent Landing Techniques. He also wishes to address the importance of hand-cranked undercarriage and how it might save millions of gallons of useless hydraulic fluid.

Fear!! Terror!! Muji's!! Calories!!!

...while many people on the other side of the fence think that everyone should have potato salad for breakfast. President Oberon has yet to comment on the issue.
:damn:

Well, it looks like the LOLwaffles are up to their old tricks. They really expect me to believe that hand-cranked undercarriage is any better than fixed landing gear? I mean, c'mon! That's just ludicrous. And besides that, why have retractable gear when you're just gunna have to lower the darn things again anyway. And as for hydraulics?!? Oh, don't even get me started!

Puhtatah salad, anyone? :DL

Pffft who needs landing gear!

Pontoons!! That's the way to go, you can even dispense with the annoying aircraft carrier as a bonus.

He's not my king! I didn't vote for him!

Wait. President, you say?

Well, I didn't vote for him either!

Takeda Shingen 01-25-11 06:17 AM

He'd have my vote.

Actually, it's been proven by strict LOLwaffle testing that the pontoon version of the JU-52 is fully amphibious:

Furthermore, our chief researcher, Raptor1 has discovered a new form of martial art, Flying-boat-fu. :yep:

As you can see, my fellow subsimmians, the way forward is not always potato salad, but sometimes prawn cocktail. :yep: We must, if we are to survive the upcoming struggles, be adaptive to the situation...I am not saying to you to abandon potato salad, I myself do partake in the eating of potato salad on occasion, however due to the fiscal situation we must be aware that variation is the key to success, so that we may boost the prawn cocktail industry whilst maintaining the high standards that we hold the potato salad industry in.

Do not believe the fascist lies, comrades! Potato salads and prawn cocktails, they are clear symbols of the corruption of the Oberonist regime! For too long have the tyrants fed us propaganda of "upcoming struggles" and "fiscal situations", so that we may not complain while they secretly revel in their own decadence. But we shall tolerate these lies no longer! Rise up, People of Subsim! Rise up against the oppression!

I like waffles.

Do we really have to?

It's kind of cold out now. Can we put it off until, say, late April? It will give us some time for Raptor to think up some slogans.

Yeah, what he said. It's snowing right now, and I don't do revolutions when it's snowing. :dead:

Only if it's the real stuff, I hate that phony "maple flavored" crap. :nope:
