USS Salmon - The Aftermath of Pearl Harbour (chapter 2)

http://www.csgdesign.com.au/uploads/...BANNER-04a.jpg

After the success of the last mission, I was offered a new submarine command, being the first of it's class, the USS Salmon, based in Freemantle, western Australia.
After accepting this new command I was flown to my new base of operations, and introduced to my new boat and crew and given immediate clearance to proceed back into the theater of war.

Excellant Post! You've obviously got the artistic flair. If I'm not mistaken you do this for a living?! Great work and Good Hunting.

Did you do that in Photoshop? If not, what program did you use? I have PS Elements and haven't even really begun to realize it's potential.

Thanks for the warm replies!

Ya I've got a background in graphic design, but I'm giving it up to pursue a green-change to a farm life (in the process of moving, on holidays at the moment). No idea what I'll do from this point on... shuck oysters? :haha:

All these were done in Photoshop Elements... it's basically every bit as good as Photoshop CS, except it doesn't have channels and a few other more advanced things that most ppl will never need anyways.

Glad yer liked the first part of this patrol - lots moar to follow.

:timeout: - a 1000 yards!?? :o

May I recommend increasing that to at least 2500-3000?

Otherwise I'm afraid we'll soon begin requesting the USS Salmon to report home. And wait in vain...

Would be a big loss to miss not only the crew and boat, but also these beatiful reports!

CSGdesign 01-24-11 03:22 AM

I'm really glad yer enjoying reading it!
I'm enjoying writing it.

Thanks for the compliment but why would I want to increase the risks drastically that my shells will go wide of the target when the target is no threat? They have no deck gun and I didn't spot any chain-guns either... so surely the closer I get the better it is?

Yes... theoretically... but shells are cheap and boat is priceless 5000 miles from home...

Are you playing DiD, Dead is Dead?

Only wanted to warn you that one day you'll be in for a nasty surprise and then it's too late. :D

Happy Hunting!
