Silent Hunter III on MS Windows 7
 

Hi all

I have silent hunter III which I havent played on my new PC which is running MS Windows 7. Any idea if it will run on this O/S?

I downloaded the SHIII software from the CD and when I try and start it failes with error: needs windows 95 to run

Is this fixed by any of the patches availabel on this websites?

I'm running SH3 on a 64-bit Windows 7 box with no problem!

The only thing you've got to do different is install it outside the Program Files folder. I used c:\Games\SH3 ; but that's just me. It doesn't matter where you install it as long as it's NOT in c:\Program Files.

I too am running it fine on this OS. If you are the only user (or the others are very trusted) and you keep a good ship where malware is concerned then you can disable UAC and install just fine in the Program Files folder. :yep:

I am to running SH3 on windows 7 but i got a problem when i start a career and i star the first mission it loads up and ur inside the boat but when i go to tower option the game crashes or sometimes i get black sea and no u boat models nor nothing but when iam in side every thing is fine its when i go outside it screws up can someone help

It would be appreciated and i have all recommended Requirements to run it
