Waterstreams & Exhaust for GWX VIIC41 Player Sub?
 

Was getting the GWX - VIIC41 Player Sub mod sorted to use via Commander only when I opt to play that particular boat, and going through the other mods I usually keep enabled in the game to make sure nothing conflicted just in case it ever got used... noticed that in the readme for h.sie's Waterstream+Exhaust Combi V2.3 for GWX3, it says that it's not compatible with the GWX VIIC41 Player Sub.

So I'm wondering, how do you get waterstreams and exhaust if you're using that mod to play a VIIC/41? Or do you just do without for the duration?

The only thing I could find for waterstreams, anyway, on a VIIC/41 was Rubini's older version of the Waterstreams mod, and it refers to using other mods by Tomi to get the VIIC/41 and add the effects to it. Not sure I found all the right ones for that, if that's how I need to work it.

The best thing is to play LSH3 with rubini's and Evan's "water Stream" embeded and a real exhaust fume for the Diesel-Engines.

Try it - and you'll love it. Though, it is no problem to have 3 or 4 or 5 different SH3-installations with the entire MODs :salute:.

Is there a way to get waterstreams & exhaust on the GWX VIIC41 Player Sub in GWX3?

If not, what mods are needed to play a "proper" VCII/41 in GWX3 and give it waterstreams & exhaust? The ones I have found so far are not very clear on which version of GWX they can be used with, which other mods are necessary, and how to set them all up correctly.

I'm not sure about exhaust, but I've added waterstreams to some uboat by silent 3ditor and a LOT of copy-pasting from a uboat that already had waterstreams. I think that there is no simple method to add it, you must edit the .dat file of the submarine - and it is very arduous work (but possible).

While that mod was outstanding to look at,was it ever finished??:06:

I asked the same question many moons ago and didn't get much further either:cry: If memory serves me well the VIIC/41 modelled in GWX is by a modder called Cobalt:06: He totally re-worked it so that other TypeVII waterstreams I assume won't work,and it would have to have its own separate mod,which no one I think has bothered to do,so far:damn:
