I once knew two young German brothers, my father dated their mother for a time, some years after they split up the older brother of the two was crossing the road when a car came down on them unexpectedly, the older brother froze, then the younger pushed him out of the way and was hit by the car instead. He died.
A terrible shame, but one very brave kid, a hero in my eyes, just like this child. God bless him and may he rest in peace with his mother.

A similar thing happened to a couple of brothers in my old neighborhood. Luckly neither one was killed but it goes to show how selflessly heroic some people can be when the situation calls for it.

A sad, but uplifting story. There have been plenty of people who have risen to the challenges sent by the flood, both great and small actions.

I just hope no more have to loose their life in this flood.
