Automobile Brokers
Has anybody ever used an automobile broker to buy a new/used car?
My insurance company totaled my van after hitting a deer last week(there's a thread somewhere in this section) and we are starting to look and that possibility came up. Just curious if they're worth it or not. Thanks. :) |
never a broker, I used craigslist. Im sure you're company can assist you more though, it's their recommendation

One of the advantages of using a broker is speed. This can be especially handy if you are in an accident and need to replace a car quickly.
The disadvantage is that the broker needs to be paid and you will end up doing the paying, one way or another. In my opinion, a broker would be worth it only if you are looking for a specific car that is not too common. But if you are looking for a domestic car (or domestic like: Toyota, Nissan, Honda, etc) you might be better off querying several dealers in your area. They are all hungry and they all have 2010s and 2011s that they are paying rent for. I would try them out. Another option is to go through your Credit Union or bank and perhaps your insurance company to see if they have an Internet/fleet buying program. They are quick and cheaper than some brokers. Good luck on it. |

Shop at cars.com. Why pay a middle man for something you can do yourself?
