Is the bdu retarded????
Hey guys,
I just failed the British blockade mission because I followed orders and patrolled the areas the BDU sent me to. Very frustrating because I was being sent to areas that have nothing to do with the mission. Furthermore, the orders are to sink 5 AMC ships (WTF is an AMC ship??? what does it look like???? what does AMC stand for???) and one aircraft carrier. All I found were warships and merchant ships. This is very frustrating. I'm failing because I'm following orders and getting nowhere. Did I miss something here? |

Perfct! Many thanks now can anyone explain the retards making the calls at the BDU?

Priority Numero Uno
NEVER obey orders !!, cause it seems that the devs 'set you up for the fall'. Go do something else first, and only when you have to return to base, swing by your assigned waypoints. :) |
So next question,
if BDU orders you to return to base, can you ignore it and keep patrolling and sinking ships? For example, if I haven't completed my mission objectives and get send home. Can I still try to complete the objectives and ifso, will they count? |
I don't have SH5 (you know why :) ), but with SH3/4 when I left base, that was the last BDU/COMSUBPAC heard of me until I pulled into harbour, either with no torps or no fuel 'or food'. Contacting 'home base' is just not on... unless you want to make a target of yourself.
I'm not sure what the devs have done with SH5, but go for a 'walk on the sea' for a while and see what happens. :) |
It wouldn't make a difference in SH3, but in SH4, ComSubPac got pretty cranky if you didn't follow orders. A few patrols of that and you'd end up with an early desk job. SH5 tends to follow the SH4 model, meaning that all BdU seems to care about is tonnage.
