Going to Battlestations!
This is gonna sound pretty stupid to some; but how do I make my crew go the battlestations? I mean I know I can go into the Crew Management page and select the crew arrangement for the proper attack plan; but what else do I need to do.
I'm mostly concerned the the length of time it takes to reload tubes. It takes forever!! :( |

Using SH3 Commander with the no fatigue mod, you can have them preset. |
OK. Cool. So I guess I am doing it right.
I'm just really surprised it takes so long to load new eels in the tubes. In SH4 it doesn't take half as long. Thanks for the info! :salute: |
So now expects BdU good results, on a large scale in tonnage terms :lurk:

I don't know; but it seems like it's running about 15 to 20 minutes per tube. :(
Maybe it only seemed quicker on SH4 since I wasn't being shot at nearly so frequently! :haha: |
That time, you can expect, depending on whether the crew is fast enough, :hmmm:

But what does torpedo loading time have to do with being shot at? You don't waste torpedoes on stuff that shoots at you, do you? |
OK. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

If you are using GWX, read the 600+ page manual. Every page a gem. Not to be snotty, of course. But the search function and the manual give you the knowledge at hand, rather than you having to wait for some kind soul to maybe answer your query. |
Those crew arrangement plan buttons on the crew screen are known to be buggy. You better not touch them if you want to stay in the game. They can cause CTDs.

A good crew could reload 1 tube in 10 - 15 minutes under good conditions. It generally took around a hour to get all 5 reloaded and ready to fire. In Prien's attack at Scapa Flow after the first 5 missed/malfunctioned Prien commented it took the crew "roughly a hour" to reload all the tubes for his (lethal) second attack.
