how do i make a custom emblem?

i've got a "the compressonator 1.5" to convert it to a .dss file but when i add it, it just shows up as a black square on the sub D:
what am i doing wrong :c

needs to be done in the alpha channel so that the figure would be visible, that is to outline it and paint over the white

what photo editing software is that?

and would the grey be grey enough to stay or should i edit that out aswell?

Photoshop latest version can be any color, black, crimson, but that would figure in the alpha channel was visible, it must be painted over in white.

I use many mods, which one do you have in mind?
I use A Fistful of Emblems v1.51 for additional emblems
