Yeah, he was politically connected, at least somewhat, in the past. I wonder what the story behind the story is.

Strange headline considering, based on the article, there is nothing connecting his murder with his military service or his involvement with the memorial.

It's what he was known for. Has more impact than "Some random Schmoe found dead" :DL

I read several items about the events - that was the part that stuck with me across the various pieces I read. I thought it both more appropriate to the forum as well as less-politically-charged than some alternative headlines.
