SH5 Freezes
 

The game freezes if I press K for Kapitans Log or the button for the same whilst on the bridge. I don't know if it does it whilst in the sub.

For a start NewUIs_TDC_5_9_0_ Patch 3 is the latest .
If you have MFCM then you need the MCCD MFCM compatible version of MCCD .
Forget sobers the edge morale mod , he is an idiot .
Install these in this order and start a new campaign .

If I was to replicate your setup, where would I put the German U Boat Crew Language Pack in the list of mods?. Also are all of these mods on the forum?

Can I have a link to TheDarkWraiths mods please as I cannot find them, especially the ones in the reply by Sober.

I am still having freezing problems. I have changed the list of mods a few times including a re install of sh5 but still the game freezes randomly. Last night it froze as a torpedo hit using TDW New UI. I restarted the game and had no probs( didn't fire a torpedo as I didn't get a contact) and it froze upon pressing exit as I closed the game down after saving my patrol.

I also flightsim and get no probs with fs2004 ,fsx and IL-2 although ROF does play up a bit (ubisoft link there) but not as bad as all three sub sims sh3 sh4 sh5.

I am gaming on a Dell xps 630i with vista 32 bit
4 gb RAM
creative gaming sound gard
ATI HD 5080

I will edit later when I am on my main PC and add my active mods list.

if game freezes but does not CTD - try pressing Alt + Tab and check if you are getting an error message on desktop.

Hi I was haveing same freeze up which continued after I removed the Mod I thought was responsable I Deleted the last save game and all was OK Hope this helps:up:

Thanks Cowboy I'll bear that in mind. I am still waiting for it to freeze again so that I can try Trevally's suggestion but I haven't had time to play more than once since.
