Bad Company 2 Vietnam
 

Anyone play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam? Is it worth getting BC2 for? How are the jungles represented? Can you play with any stealth, or is it more straight-forward action?

I just got it today, definitely interested in playing with some SubSim folks.

When you start it up, you're greeted with the familiar and obligatory sound of "Fortunate Son" by CCR; which causes visions of Hueys and M16A1s to dance in your head. The first game I played I was in a village that had clearly been 'naped...it was...quite overwhelming how well-done the visuals are. There was a patch of jungle just outside said village to the left and a mountain pass through to the US base on the right. I picked up my PPSh and headed off to cause some destruction. XD

There is no "story mode" as I've seen thus far, maybe I was just blindsided by getting into some DICE multiplayer...but I enjoyed what little I've played thus far, though I'm horrible. I wouldn't worry about not being able to sneak around, I've been bum rushed plenty of times, and the atmosphere is so well-done (lush jungles, tunnels, etc.) that there is definitely room to get the upper hand. I'll report more once I'm better-versed.

I got Bad Company 2 and Vietnam over Christmas, and I think both are fantastic multiplayer games, little can beat sitting in a Huey's door shooting anything that moves before jumping out and using your flame-thrower!

I play as 'Multiple Solo' if anybody want to join forces (i.e. die a horrific death together) :D

I only play on PS3. but im claybirdd on there as well. hit me up if you ever feel like playing. gotta love the g3.

I have bc2 which i got in the steam sale over christmas and was thinking about getting vietnam as well as it just looks more fun basically. One thing I heard is that you cant destroy buildings and scenery in quite the same way that you can int eh main game, is that true?

yes I take great delight in trying to knock down walls and blow up buildings while someone is shooting me :P

Not the case; can't tell you the number of times I've been cowering in a hut and had it blown out from around me.
