German kills neighbour with snow shovel
 

A ROW over snow clearing has ended in death after a man smashed his neighbour over the head with a shovel, killing him instantly. Following what police described as "years of arguing", the two neighbours, aged 45 and 49, got into a heated discussion over who was responsible for removing snow from the joint entrance to their properties, authorities said.The 45-year-old then whacked his older neighbour over the head with the shovel.The attack took place in the tiny town of Schnellenbach, in western Germany.

Yeah you're right about that. Somebody should have knocked their heads together long before it got to that point.

The real tragedy here is the man's children.

in their teens, one barely so... and their mother died of a heart attack recently.

When I saw the title I was ready to make a joke about banning Germans, but this really is sad and stupid.

It happens. Many years ago my Dad was taking early snow and putting it against the house for insulation. There wasn't much snow, so he was scraping the neighbors drive.

The neighbor came out and game him hell saying, "Leave my snow alone."

In the spring, my Dad went out and was shovelling snow away from the house and threw some on the neighbors drive. He came out yelling. My Dad said he was just giving him back his snow.

Here in Baltimore MD folks will dig out their parking spot and then leave a chair in the spot when they drive off so others will not take their newly dug out spot. Needless to say people take the spot then the crap ensues. :doh:
