While I can appreciate Antonio Vivaldi's aesthetic and artistic value, I have always found his music to be dreadfully boring, much like Claude Debussy, who I regard as possibly the most over-rated composer in history. Much of the rest, save Duke Ellington, I do not either know nor care for. Yes, that's right, I just said that I don't like Frank Sinatra. I am braced for your taunts and physical blows.

I'm surprised at the number of songs they say have worn out their welcome, but I never liked in the first place. I love Zeppelin, but 'Stairway to Heaven' never did it for me. I never managed to get into AC/DC at all. I love anything by the Beatles, but only in context. I have to listen to the whole album or not at all, except on rare occasions.

I guess I just never got into radio music.

Sinatra? I think he's great, but not really my style. On the other hand I never get tired of Bing Crosby's christmas album, especially 'Christmas in Killarney".

Journey: "Do not Stop Believin" is just one of those songs I like when I travel by air!

WHAT ??? Take a break from The Queen ??? Blasphemy :nope:

Gerald 12-20-10 07:25 AM

Blasphemy from Canada is not my strongest side, but the Queen no need to break with, :yep:

I think Vivaldi is ok, but i think the Well Tempered Clavier is boring. Handel is my favorite baroque composer (i love his operas). Debussy's piano music is ok i guess, but nothing compared to Beethoven's sonatas.

In modern music, i never really gotten into Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, David Bowie, Led Zepplin and those older bands.
My favorites in modern music include Alice Cooper, KISS, Marilyn Manson, and surprisingly, Andrew Loyd Webber's musicals

Oh, and *please don't flame* i believe that Yngwie Malmsteen is the best guitarist there is (yes, that includes Slash, Eddie Van Halen, and pretty much anyone you can name)

Looking at that selection (not including the obvious Lady Gaga and one or two others) Pink Floyd are one of the few 'famous/well known' artists I could never get away with.
