YUV Component cable
I am about to upgrade my old CRT TV for a Samsung 50" widescreen TV, at the moment I only have a DVD player, Blu-Ray will have to wait!
I have been told that standard RCA cables for the Component/Progressive Scan video is no good it has to be special high quality ones, I have done some searching but don't find much on the subject and sellers down here want around $50 for the set of 3, a little pricey!:-? I can get them online for $18 but will take 2 weeks to get here! so as a temporary measure I thought I would just use 75 ohm coax, I have plenty of solder type RCA jacks here, would this be sufficient?:hmmm: |
Is RGB scart adapter that you should have? They usually cost around £7,or anything contained in this link,
http://search.surfcanyon.com/search?...=1292470148083 BTW,Coaxial cable 75ohm 20M + 2 F-connectors. it "can" go |
Yes the cable is straight RCA to RCA as in the link, even that price is too expensive considering the wires are only 75cm in length, not long enough, I have plenty of good quality 75 ohm coax here, just didn't want to cut it up if it was a "no goer"!:yep:

OK! How will you act now, there is no way to get home components within "reasonable time"
|
This was a miracle, I went into one of our stores here (Big W of all places) and found a set of RGB 75 ohm gold connections, RCA to RCA 1.5mts for $15, needless to say I grabbed them!! TV is installed :o WOW!! what a difference, now I just have to get a Blu-Ray player!!:D

Congratulations, an early Christmas Eve :DL
