Recently upgraded to the Gato class.

Updates include: 4 50 cal deck gun; twin 40 cal AA gun; SJ radar; improved surface search radar.

Sail date: 4/6/42; destination: patrol within 108 nm of Attu for 4 days.

No problem, sighted and sank two DD's, shot at and missed one Aux. Sub chaser.

After goals are met, set sail for North coast of Japan.

Sighted and sank, one Atikla class cargo.

Harbor raid, sunk four cargo ships as they sit at anchor.

Sail for Tokyo.

Intercept three DD's on the way.

Sunk them all!

Set sail for Midway.

Upon arrival, I am informed that my boat is going in for a refit to reduce silhouette.

Is this normal?

Been playing this game for 4 years and this is the first time this has happened.

And...I have to upgrad all over again.

Yes, it is normal, but these yardmonkeys apparently can't find out how to upgrade the sub without downgrade other things:nope:
