Happy 2010 Thanksgiving! What are YOU thankful for?

Thread title says it all, folks.

As for me, I'm thankful for my wonderful wife and spawn, the recent success of the Green Bay Packers, and my fortunate luck in being born within the borders of a country that provides that my worst day is still nothing compared to even the best days of most in the third world.

I'm thankful that I was born in the best country in the world.:woot:

Happy Thanksgiving Yanks.

For my wonderful parents, who unsvervingly stand by me, no matter whether I failed or succeeded, was wise, or stupid.

For witnessing what is, the beauty and the ugly, the good and the bad, though it even seems so unlikely that there could have become anything at all, and although most of it in the human dimension hurts - like the severe private troubles our family currently is going through.

For the short time mayn years ago when I was gifted with the experience that two souls can know each other since far earlier and later than just one human life, and the experience of loosing it again - for this taught me that you cannot lose this at all.

What exists, is a wonder. And that we live and witness it, is a wonder too - no matter what we think we are. We do.

anyways, Since I'm here, I am thankful that i live in a time of peace and prosperity, that I have great parents, and a great little brother
I also salute my teachers:salute:
I got great marks at school this year, and I feel sorry for them
last but not least, I have to thank you guys. My forum buddies, for the great fun we have, and Neal and the moderators, for the creation and maintenance of a great site:yeah:

I like that. That's a real good perspective to have. :yeah:

Thankful for my family, the clothes on my back, the roof over my head and the job that gives me the means to keep that situation going. A lot of people are in dire straits these days, and I'm lucky I'm not one of them.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Besides what's been said to be thankful for already, which I am also, I'm glad to be alive.

My only wish is that everyone less fortunate than the rest of us could have a roof over their heads and three square meals a day.

Tchocky 11-25-10 09:37 AM

No Thanksgiving on this side of the pond, but I don't have to got to work today, so I guess that's something :)
I'm thankful for a roof ove rmy head, a job I love doing, and a wonderful girlfriend. Now if only I had some sort of sandwich with me as I type, I could submit this post perfectly content.

Happy Thanksgiving to all :)

I'm thankful for the modest success my band seems to be having this late in my life, and that's about it. Oh, and not having to be outside today - the expected high here is 17 degrees fahrenheit (-8 Celsius).

NeonSamurai 11-25-10 11:21 AM

Merging all separate thanksgiving threads into this one...

Happy thanksgiving you dang amerikers :D

Sailor Steve 11-25-10 11:22 AM

Oh. That explains how my response went from making sense to looking stupid. :damn:
