New 1/350 USS Independence LCS-2
Certainly one of the most interesting-looking modern warships:

Nice blueprints, both posted here and on the link.
I've been considering building a digital model to complement the USS Freedom we put in to LWAMI. :hmmm: |
Looks pretty cool! :yeah:

I always liked that sort of design, but I haven't heard how the sea trials are going for that or the HMS Triton. The design makes a lot of sense, giving you so much more deck space and stability.

Remember the Sea Shadow? I think this is the first generation from lessons learned from that X-craft. It is interesting but not as sexy as a ship bristling with guns and missiles IMHO. As a modelling subject it is kinda plain-jane. But I didn't like the F-18 when it first arrived, compaired to the venerable F-4. I like it now.

Choices, choices....

I've been tempted to get the new Academy(I think) 1/35 Merkava IV but doing it would mean buying a whole bunch of tools since the glue and brushes now are all gone. And a display case wouldn't want to ruin it. In all I'm looking at a 100 bucks expenses. Which I consider too expensive for just one model.
So I think I'll pass on the Merkava IV. Would rather pay a little more for a 1/35 diecast of the tank but no one especially Minichamps is not making a Merkava IV diecast. |
I wonder if the DoD would do something like they did with the Polaris boats, which ever LCS scale model sells the most this Christmas is the one that goes in to production... :hmmm:
